Wireless Transfer

Hey all you fellow blogians out there

I have spent this week mainly in Melbourne doing job interviews with a company called integrated wireless. Well as it happens I have received a job offer from them, so I will be making the wireless transfer to Melbourne via car :p

I will be moving to Melbourne in the near future so for those of you who want to catch up with me before I go, you can by either leaving a comment here or emailing me.

I might not post for a while because of this but I don't post often anyway so meh.

Hey fellow Bloggers

Recently I have started to take flight lessons (Applied for a Student Licence) at the Bendigo Aerodrome. Currently I am learning in a Piper Warrior which is a four seater single engine prop plane (that incidentally has a VW beetle engine in it).

Anyway currently I have to memorize the checklists for the plane in order to fly safely. Hopefully in the future I will be able to get some photos and show you some interesting things about the plane.

False Evidence Appearing Real

Good morning my fellow bloggians,
I speak to you about something that everyone faces, whether it be in their job, business, their relationships, sport and many other things in life.

Are you controlled by False evidence appearing real? (FEAR).

It is interesting to note that fear and faith are basically the same thing with different consequences because as human beings we have the choice to either believe we can do something and do it or scour in fear and ultimately let that experience of not doing it rule our lives.

Many of us are afraid of success and therefore and not willing to risk failure in order to succeed (we like that comfort zone of mediocrity). If you are ever going to feel like you have accomplished anything then you must be willing to leave that comfort zone otherwise you will wither and become less of person. No one wants that, including God. - check this verse out Philippians 4:13

Hope this has help someone out, if not and I am preaching to the converted then great, go and help others who are less fortunate than you and haven't heard or thought about this and how it affects their life and those around them.

Ever hurt yourself?

About a week ago I was taking my dirty clothes to laundry mat, so I washed my clothes and was taking the home in the car.
Anyway when I was trying to get out of the car I tried to lift the bag of clothes and I felt a pain in my left rib cage, I thought nothing of it.

Anyway the next day after having an afternoon nap before going to work I notice I have this 'hole' on the left side of my body under my rib cage.' And thus I have pulled a muscle in my rib cage.

Has anyone done something as lame as this, that has had a longer lasting effect than a couple of hours? I still have the problem at the moment but I hope it can heal but I don't know really.

P.S. I have consulted a medical professional :p

Hi Everyone

For the first post of this year i propose to ask you the read to name our new kitten.

He is a grey and white striped kitten that is a playful one, he also acts like a dog by panting when it is hot and chasing his tail. Currently he is 13 weeks old and our old bag (Minka) a pure breed white cat hates his guts. lol.

Anyway the winner (if you come up with any good names that Rob, Chris and I agree apon) can come over and meet the kitty themselves.

Recap. He is a boy, tabby looking and likes to play a lot.

Respect is the key in society today, many older people command it from the younger generation but do they deserve it?

Can you command respect or do you earn it?

Where is the respect of the younger generation from the older generation? The lack of respect to the younger generation has to eminate from somewhere, It definately comes from tv and friends but there is still they way the older generation who does not know the teenager treats him/her like a three year old.

If we treat people like children they will be children and act like children. Treat younger people like an adults they will behave like adults.

Anyway respect is where you are willing to give someone the benefit of the doubt when they do something stupid.

Respect is the willingness to disagree about what someone says but not kill them for it.

We have a lot to learn and we can learn if we listen and respect each other. If you do disagree with me show some respect and argue.

Retirement aye?

With the spate of recent retirements of champion cricketers has got me thinking. Who is going to replace them? In the fast bowling stocks well it is quiet clear that Hillfenhaus should come into the test squad, as for the spinner well there is MacGill but he isn't a long term replacement and it is MacGill.

Australia has a few young spinners like Cullen Balley and Darren Cullen from SA but they aren't up to the standard of test cricket yet, Cameron White doesn't bowl enough for Victoria. It is time to blood a young under 19's leg spinner into the big time, even though this may sound contradictory (not up to test standard) we need a player who can play for the length of time Warne has.

Anyway there is a changing of the guard in Australian cricket at the moment and i would like to hear you point of views. Also the All-rounder issue can be address here too.

Make or Break

Hi Everyone. I am thinking that I may to a book review everyone once in a while if you like it, I will continue to do them.

Today's book review is:
The Magic Of Thinking Big

As the book entitles, The power of success comes with our attitude. So if we feel like a failure and then we will become one.

One strategy that the book outlines is that the people that are successful are observers and that everybody can be an observer if they choose too but many wont because they prefer to stuck in medocrity.

Also success can't come from waiting around until everything is perfect, if you want to be successful you must be a doer or 'activationist'.

The most important thing for us as humans is not to belittle ourselves, we are God's creation and we should believe that we can achieve anything we put our minds too.

Overall this book is awesome and everyone should read it.

Legacy or Nothing?

I pose this question for you all - rather morbid but I am interested in what you think.

If you were to die today, tomorrow or in six months, a year whatever.

What would you do? - In the time you have left

Is it just me or do others feel that they haven't done enough in the this world in order to make it for lack of a better term 'A better place to live'?

Also have we been an effective witness in our walk? Are there things we can do to help other people that we just don't do because it is inconvient?

It is time for complacency to be thrown out the window and live each day as it is your last. - Not literally your last but in that frame of mind.

Here is my disappointment for the week

Currently I have been thinking how we as Christians don't realise how much we affect the people around us and how miss situations that could grow our character if we are willing to step out and show who we are and how we are different. We say 'we want to change the world' but we don't even realised that it is staring at us in the FACE right in our 'own backyard'.

Matthew chapter 25 verses 44 and 45

We can be very judgemental of people who aren't Christian, even when we don't say anything, just by our body language we can come across as judgemental. We should be showing them God's love not scorn.

Luke chapter 6 verses 37 and 38

We just need to be careful in the way we act as that shows who we are really following!

Turning to a life of Tassie

Well what a week.

First of all many people from bendigo went to the land down under down under for a wedding of my brother Hugh and my new sister Anita.

Travis you were brillant with your speech and you were the 'vest' man or was that the lord of the rings.

There are so many stories to tell of our adventure, here is one.

On wednesday a number young men went to the Cabury factory for some chocolate and presents for their respective girlfriends. Anyway on the way back to Hobart we encounter the strangest bus route. First of all the bus driver stalled the AUTOMATIC bus! Then she did a loop of the roads around the cabury factory then she drove through a supermarket carpark. I had the intelligence to say that maybe the bus route is in the pattern of e's. Dale then piped up to say that the bus driver is taking e's (one point to Dale).

And just remember everyone that Trav and me are dating men.

Welcome to Charles Ranting week, it is a widely believed fact!!!!!

Basically over the last few months i have been watching catalyst and the seven thirty report and many other programs going on about "scientific" opinon.

Now according to what I have been taught and dictionary.com science is supposed to be not based on opinon, but what is observed and what is test and opinon doesn't figure. If opinon does figure then it is just opinon based on something scientific and they have no proof which makes it unscientific because science is meant to be something that can be tested and proven to be undoubtable.

Einstein (paraphrasing) once said that opinon doesn't matter but that something can be tested and proven.

I think that was a incoherent marass. What I am trying to say is that people are taking this for granted and it is a misuse of a word.

Love, Like or is it really lust?

Just a comment a friend made in the last post.

Love takes time and is a emotion that takes work and doesn't happen instantly. That is why I prefer the word 'like'. This word can be overused and misused but in my context it is used when you want to spend time with a person and enjoy there company but aren't completely sure of whether you truly love the person.

I believe that if 'love' happens to quickly it is really infatuation or lust, which is not good idea.

The world view these days is to go for what feels good and don't worry about the consequences and that is dangerous.

What is more important is to love people unconditionally just like Jesus did, this is very hard but it is what we as Christians are called to do.

Here is my question for the month.

Why is it that male and females find it so difficult to express themselves when they like someone of the opposite sex? Why don't we just blurt it out, what are we afraid of?

Is it because of experience or are we just not willing to spill our emotions ie: fear of failure seems outweigh risks.

And this goes for anything in life, we are too comfortable we need to get out of our comfort zones and actually do something. Arrrgh.

Well again I have failed to blog for the month and I am terribly sorry.

The last few days I have been playing a computer game online called EVE, great game and a good waste of time.

I have question for my readers should we help Israel to defeat the 'terrorists' in Lebonon or are Israel the terrorists? ie: Are you an zionist(promised land) or not one?

Personally I feel this is a controversial issue and I am confused where my opinon should lie. In other words Australia is in the same position as we are a white occupied country we should first 'help' our own before we help others.

What do you think?

Hey Everybody who reads my blog

Sorry about no blogging for the last month or so, I just didn't have much material and I didn't want to bore you into a mindless pulp on nothing.

Recently in politics however not much has changed. Except we as in Australia like most other countries with concerns over power generation are seeking debate over which is better (renewable vs Nuclear/coal).

In my opinion this debate in Australia is bias towards fossil fuels (all of us are bias towards on side or the other) but the problem with the renewables is the security of supply. That is where Germany comes in.
Watching Dataline (SBS) last night Germany have the idea of bio-mass eg: methane. For local towns and villages and the excess power is sold to the national grid at above market price.

Now tell me this, that isn't a viable economic situation is it if the power companies have to buy the excess power from little villages at a higher price is it?

I think that bio-mass is a brilliant idea but the excess power should be sold at market price and I think the CO² free coal power plant is the way to go or the pebbel bed nuclear reactor or a combination of these.

Well the other day I went into the Commonwealth Bank to see if they offered debit cards, interestingly they don't. It is really sad when a large company that is designed to look after its customers doesn't care about them anymore.

the word I can't spell is becomming more and more of a problem these days and I feel that it is only going to get worse.

The only good thing about this is that the Bendigo bank does offer debit cards.
So yippe ;).

Weekend

Well this weekend, more like friday we had a great bus trip down to Telstra Dome where the Cats defeated the Saints by 3 goals or so.

Anyway the footy was pretty boring but on the bus trip back we sang many timeless classics such as My heart will go on, American Idiot, Cow with guns, AFL club songs etc and most of us lost our voices. How great are bus trips?

Speaking of football, I goal umpiried the seniors and the reserves at Eaglehawk, I also got my first report ;), and no I didn't try to rig the game like you Travis. But the seniors ended up being one point the difference.

Air Crash Investigations

I was watching Air Crash Investigations last night as I normally do (I am sad to hear it is the end of the season). I am very interested in Air Safety.

Anyway it was about a U.S. Navy vessel U.S.S. Vincennes mistakenly indentifying an Iranian Airbus A300 on route to Bahrain in 1988 as a F-14 fighter and therefore shot it down, 290 lives where lost. This in itself was a design flaw in the ship because as the naval officer in charge of tracking the plane left the tracker on the runaway not following the plane. Other causes effect the the eventual outcome such as the Navy vessel was in Irany waters not international.

The naval officer did radio the plane about 3 times before ship fire the missiles but the pilots were confused because their airspeed didn't match that of the naval ships reading of their airspeed yet there are a few things that the U.S naval investigation into failed to address for example the sqwak code (which in non-technical terms is a radio pulse that plane transmits so it can be tracked by air traffic control) was not radioed to the pilots of the Airbus.

Another interesting factor was that the naval officer in charge of tracking the plane claimed that the plane was decending but everybody knows that commercial airlines don't decend unless they are trying to land which this one was not. Even on the computer in the naval ship it said it was ascending all the captain had to do was look at his monitor yet he failed to do so, during the investigation this was examined but nothing was done about it .

Now this is unfair to the Iranian families that lost loved ones, people should have to pay for their negligence.

The Investigation was that it was the iranies fault for parking a f-14 behind a commercial airliner but really that wasn't there fault, it is just another case of the US government bullying smaller governments.

My opinion is that the sqwak code should be transferred and the tracking of plans on naval ships be improved which I hope has been done, also The US government needs to stop thinking that other countries people don't matter.

Assignments

Yes it is that time of year again when Universities decide that it is time for assesments.

Well currently I am trying to do some database queries on psql server at latrobe uni but it is dead, in other words too many are accessing it at the same it and taking up all the bandwidth.

These second year assignments are really bad or I am really lazy (probably the latter, being a uni student and all).

Anyway at Uni today there was a poster up saying nuclear power is not the answer, then I have to ask what is the answer that ACTUALLY makes power, not this unreliable solar and wind.

Greenies are so stupid they have no idea what ACTUALLY works and what is going to sustain the world for years to come. I have to agree that old nuclear power is quiet dangerous but if the new nuclear developments are quiet safer in that they can't meltdown.

I could rant about this for days but I have to get back to my assignments.

Indoor Cricket

I'll update every week as the season progresses, so far we are 0-5 as the 'season' started like 5 weeks ago but it start last week, I don't get it but that is fuzzy logic for you.

Some entries are stupid, some funny, some just crude but you should take a look.
Everybody needs to laugh at least 10 times a day.

Tonight is the big game. The start of the new season, new tatics, new players (no not really).

Welcome to Chuckster's Blog.

Blogging is pointless but I thought I might as well find out what all the fuss is about.

Anyway, Currently I am studing Software Development (second year) at Latrobe Bendigo but i am considering doing Applied Science (Aviation) in Adelaide, once I finish my course or if they kill the IT course in Bendigo which they are currently doing.

Aviation costs a lot of money ($10,000 just to get a simple licence) so I will have to save lots of money which I am currently trying to do, so if I am not willing to spend much money this is why.

I work night shift service station in Bendigo and here is a funny story for you.

Well working night shift at a service station you would think that this job would suck but in truth it is quiet interesting, those weirdoes that come in at 4am in the morning makes this job all worth while. Anyway here are some of my experiences, well I had a disabled teenager came into the store and was trying to buy many snacks and some adult magazines for a total of $65 or so but he only had $1.80 so as a nice person I tried to explain that he didn't have enough money, but he didn't understand and there was other people in the store, so I had to serve them. The disabled teenager left, I put all the products he was trying to buy, back. About 5 minutes later the same teenager comes back in and here I am thinking he is going to do the same thing again, but he comes up to the counter to buy a mars bar (which he had enough money for), so he buys the mars bar and is about to leave the store when he turns around to me and says "Just kidding" and 'stops' being disabled.

That is best prank I have ever seen (I fell for it). I can't believe he could keep such a straight face, he would be a brilliant actor. On that alone he could get disability pension.
